About Seville

Seville is the capital of Andalucia, residing in the south of Spain, and one of the most important capitals of sourthern Europe. It is one of the hottest countries in Europe (so if you're a pale girl like me, I would recommend factor 50 for all seasons!), but above all, it is an incredibly beautiful city to visit.

When making the choice of which European city to explore during my year abroad, Seville was instantly at the top of my list. Firstly, as someone who is used to constant rain and cloud in England, Seville’s central Andalusian location is one that remains sunny all year round, which for an English person is a culture shock in itself. The entire city is rich in history and stunning architecture, it is one of those places that feels alive at any given moment, whether it is 12pm or 12am. During my year of living there I explored many restaurants, hidden gem locations to sit back and relax, as well as amazing attractions that any tourist would want to visit.

I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to live in this beautiful city for a year, and so I would love to share with you my top 3 things to see & do in Seville:

Top 3 things to see in Seville:

1. Alcazar of Seville

The 'Alcázar Real de Sevilla' is the Royal Palace of Seville and is one of the most recognisable spots in Seville. It's rich history and architecture makes it a must-have on your to-do list.

2. The Seville Cathedral

The 'Catedral de Santa María de la Sede' is one of the largest cathedrals in the world. The cathedral was built over the remnants of a Moorish mosque.
